Template notice. These terms are a professional starting point for a Texas managed services provider. They are not legal advice. Have counsel review and adapt them — and note that any signed service agreement, statement of work, or master services agreement will control over this page for contracted work.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Root Managed Services website. By using this site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using rootmanagedservices.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Use of this website
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You will not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, misrepresent your identity, or use it to transmit unlawful or harmful content. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
3. Services & agreements
Information on this site about our services, plans, and pricing is provided for general guidance and does not constitute a binding offer. Managed services are delivered under a separate written agreement — typically a master services agreement and statement of work — that defines scope, service levels, fees, and responsibilities. Where this page and a signed agreement conflict, the signed agreement controls.
4. Free tools
We offer free, browser-based utilities (such as our JSON and YAML builders). These tools run in your browser and are provided “as is” for convenience, without warranty. You are responsible for reviewing any output before using it in production systems.
5. Intellectual property
The site’s content, design, logos, and marks are owned by Root Managed Services or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You may view and share links to our content, but you may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works for commercial purposes without our written permission. Client-owned documentation and data we produce under a service agreement belong to the client as that agreement specifies.
6. Authorized security testing
Any penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or offensive-security engagement we perform is conducted only under written authorization, within an agreed scope, and in compliance with applicable law. Nothing on this site is an offer to test systems you do not own or are not authorized to assess.
7. Disclaimers
This website and our free tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Service-level commitments, when they exist, are stated in your signed agreement — not on this page.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Root Managed Services will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or free tools. Liability for contracted services is governed exclusively by the limitations set out in the applicable service agreement.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
